At nasahunch-foundation.org, we are committed to supporting NASA initiatives and student workforce development. Through corporate sponsorships, grants, and donations, we empower educators, students, and NASA HUNCH personnel in creating prototypes for NASA and other agencies. Our collaboration extends to space agencies like ESA and JAXA, as well as private space and technology companies. Join us in supporting NASA's strategic needs and fostering innovation for the future.

We strive to prepare students for the future by offering an innovative Workforce Development program. Through hands-on experience and collaboration with NASA and other industry members, students develop skills in Bio Health, Software Development, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and more. Our mission is to inspire creativity, innovation, and leadership in the next generation.

Vision

The NASA HUNCH mission is all about igniting passion and preparing students for an exciting future through a groundbreaking Workforce Development program that blends authentic work-based and project-based learning! By teaming up with NASA and other trailblazers the space industry, students dive into hands-on experiences, crafting real-world products and honing advanced skills in thrilling fields like biohealth and medical sciences, software development, electronics, digital circuits, flight, manufacturing (hardware), cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and culinary arts + food sciences for space exploration. Together, we’re empowering the next generation with the creativity, expertise, and adaptability they need to shine in the ever-evolving global economy!

Mission

The NASA HUNCH mission empowers high school students through an exciting Workforce Development program! By blending Work-Based and Project-Based Learning, we provide amazing opportunities to gain hands-on experience in fields related to space exploration and development. Collaborating with NASA, students design impactful products that advance space technology. Our mission is to spark creativity, drive innovation, and prepare a diverse generation of leaders and problem-solvers ready to thrive in the global economy and shape the future!

Goals

1. Advance Next-Generation Workforce Development Implement a comprehensive Workforce Development framework aligned with industry forecasting that prepares students for emerging careers at the intersection of technology and space exploration. Focus on developing both technical competencies and essential skills in fields including Artificial Intelligence, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Advanced Manufacturing, and Culinary Sciences for space applications, equipping students with the expertise and adaptability required for 21st and 22nd-century careers. 2. Implement a Sustainable Revenue Generation Model Create diversified funding streams through manufacturing partnerships, grants, corporate sponsorships, and fee-based services that ensure long-term organizational sustainability. Develop a balanced financial framework that leverages the NASA HUNCH Foundation for philanthropic support while building commercial relationships to generate ongoing operational funding. 3. Foster Strategic Aerospace and Space Industry Partnerships Establish transformative partnerships with industry leaders in Space and Aerospace sectors to create a seamless workforce pipeline. Develop collaborative innovation frameworks that provide students with access to cutting-edge technologies, professional mentorship networks, and real-world challenges that prepare them for careers in these high-growth industries. 4. Provide Industry-Relevant, Solutions-Oriented Learning Experiences Create structured Work-Based and Project-Based Learning experiences where students design, prototype and fabricate products with measurable impact for NASA and industry partners. Develop a project framework that intentionally builds critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and project management capabilities while delivering tangible solutions for real-world space challenges. 5 Build Pathways Through Community College Partnerships Develop structured articulation pathways with community colleges that create clear transitions from high school experiences to skills-based certifications and associate degrees. Focus on technical training programs in space manufacturing, engineering, cybersecurity, and medical fields that provide students with industry-recognized credentials aligned with workforce needs in the Space and Aerospace sectors. 6. Create Advanced STEM University Connections Establish formal university partnerships that provide students with accelerated educational pathways into specialized STEM programs in Bio Health and Medical Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Software Development. Develop dual-enrollment opportunities, undergraduate research experiences, and mentorship programs that enable students to build academic portfolios for higher education while maintaining hands-on industry experience. 7 . Build a Sustainable Education-Industry-Government Ecosystem Establish a resilient collaboration model between high schools, community colleges, universities, industry partners, government agencies, and NASA that ensures program sustainability and continuous alignment with workforce needs. Create shared governance structures, joint resource investments, and systems for program innovation that respond to the evolving demands of the space economy and global technological advancement. 8. Establish Centers of Excellence in Emerging Space Technologies Build specialized learning and innovation hubs focused on critical emerging technologies for space exploration, including Bio Health and Medical Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Manufacturing, and Food Sciences. These centers will serve as collaborative spaces for students, educators, and industry partners to develop cutting-edge solutions for the most pressing challenges in space exploration. 9. Develop new ways to encourage students to look at real projects and tackle them. This should include leadership training, Fund Raising for Scholarships, Summer Internships, Collaborating with Students in Different Countries, and providing material support for specific projects.
